My story
How did I get here?
This is part of my story
Some time ago, after having played the piano for years, I had the need to start playing the cello. And they are VERY different instruments. When I learned, I realized that what I could hear was not enough at that time to properly tune the cello. The consequence? I had the best intentions, and an out-of-tune cello that could not be heard well either alone or with other instruments.
To learn how to tune the cello, I had to be silent, listen to the tuned note and find it on my instrument. The time, effort and practice were worth it, because I became part of the Chihuahua State Philharmonic Orchestra.
This experience has offered me a language that very closely articulates our call to listen to God, as well our search to tune in his love. And in this way, express the melody of our lives in the search for harmony with our neighbors in the symphony of life.
I have had the opportunity to collaborate with faith communities in different capacities inside and outside the public eye in the Los Angeles, California area. Likewise, I have supported from televised liturgies, evangelization events, continuous training for young people and adults, retreats, workshops as well as in the discretion and confidentiality of the practice of spiritual direction.
Music led me to liturgy, liturgy to theology, theology to spirituality. And spirituality has led me back to music with an integration of these learned experiences.
